YBN’s 7th Annual Business Retreat

The 2007 YBN Business Retreat was a smashing success as over 450 professionals and cosmetology students gathered with a common goal, to learn more about the business side of the beauty industry. At the event, which was held September 22-24th and the Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort and Spa in Dana Point California, participants were exposed to some of the hottest names in business and educated on the most cutting edge techniques and issues in the industry.

Lisa Nichols, educator from The Secret, was a highlight of the event and attendees waited patiently until the last class to witness her dynamic presentation on stage. Nichols has worked with YBN owner Susie Fields Carder for over 6 years and attended the event because she “knew the energy of this particular event is unparalleled.”

Attendees were also privy to 5 other powerful main stage speakers that included Susie Fields Carder, Evergreen3, Pamela Truax, Deb Hunt and a special panel led by Bert Carder that focused on student integration into the beauty industry.

The breakout classes were no less dazzling and featured 7 distinct business topics including recruiting & retention, business tax instruction, life goal setting, customer service and a powerful networking roundtable led by the YBN team.

There was no shortage of accolades for the event. Everything was world class, from the energetic “gambling” included in the welcome reception to the featured exhibitors that were hand selected as the best opportunities for attendees to add new revenue streams to their businesses.
